An interview with an uncle in Shanghai and the silence of the NGOs

Comrades: The CCP has killed more people than any regime and seems hell bent on increasing that number.

2 years into COVID hysteria, Shanghai has been in continuous lockdown for 2 months with no end in sight. CCP COVID Zero hard lockdowns mean tens of millions of people are not allowed to leave their homes. We have all seen harrowing images and stories: desperate people jumping out of windows, children separated from families, pets being put down, all while while drones hover in the skies saying “Control your soul’s desire for freedom”. Our bootlicking media won’t cover this because they’d love to do the same to us.

Lockdowns and mandates are the most flagrant human rights violations in our lifetimes. The silence from NGOs who are ostensibly dedicated to protecting them is deafening. Like many other rotted institutions, they have abandoned their principles to serve globalist agendas and The Current Thing. The ACLU is pro vax and mask mandates, while the SPLC was the OG grifter before BLM came around.

Amnesty International has also fallen. A few years ago, an investigation revealed that its toxic work culture led to several employee suicides (details here). It recently took the side of Castro Jr. against the Freedom Convoy, who they smeared as Nazis. They also don’t believe women have the right to their own spaces or not getting wrecked by men in sports:

I know one of Amnesty’s board members who has overseen its decline. As you’d suspect, while they may have good intentions most people join these boards for the virtue signaling, ego circle jerk, and LinkedIn flexing. Another board member I met boasted that he used the prestige to seduce young women at Amnesty’s conferences. The presidents of these NGOs also make high six figure salaries. These pathetic organizations are only alive because their dark money oligarch and government benefactors use them for social engineering. They no longer deserve our respect or money.

The White Rose is the paragon of low-cost, high-impact decentralized activism. Wikipedia smeared them so you know they’re onto something. Let us continue to fight and give a voice to those who have silenced, like Shanghai Cig Man.

I have several relatives in China and one of them bravely agreed to be interviewed. My uncle gave short answers because he is terrified of being discovered. Self censorship has become ingrained in everyone there. Sadly, we came to the realization that we may never see each other again and there is nothing we can do about it because these NGOs are useless.

Big trouble. So many bad things could happen, like being taken away to a camp. You can’t even imagine.

How does the social credit system work?
The government has all the power. They can throw you in jail and shut down your phone apps and payments anytime they want.

Are you and others aware that most of the world is living normally without any COVID restrictions?
Yes. Many of us know.

Are people more scared of COVID or the government?
Both are scary.

How do people relieve stress if they can't leave their apartment building or neighborhood?
Watch TV. Pray. Persevere.

Do you think life will ever go back to normal?
Never. Shanghai is changed forever.
