The MacArthur "Genius Grant" is one of many leftist patronage networks that fund demoralization agents - call to action at the bottom

Founded in 1981, the MacArthur Fellowship Program awards ~25 Americans “Genius Grants” each year. The prize is $800,000 with no strings attached. There is no application or transparency on its selection process. Anonymous and confidential nominations are invited by the foundation and reviewed by an anonymous and confidential selection committee of about a dozen people. The main criteria is purely subjective: "Exceptional creativity and promise for important future advances… an investment in a person's originality, insight, and potential.” Translation - leftists grooming leftists. This is even more of a sinecure racket than academia.
I am sure the the Director of the fellowship program is not biased, given her interest in Criminal Justice:
Unsurprisingly, a disproportional amount of the 1,000+ MacArthur fellows are affiliated with the Demoralized DIEvy League. The top 3 schools represented are Harvard (188), Yale (95), and Berkeley (78). Notable MacArthur alums include DIE/ESG commissars Ibram X. Kendi (second from right on third row of the top photo), Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Paul Ehrlich. The inaugural 1981 class had a fair amount of serious STEM, whereas the most recent 2023 class was predominantly clown grievance studies. What would have been considered middle school art in 1981 is now considered “genius” in 2023.
I am sure politics, race, and gender had nothing to do with the selection process:
The MacArthur Foundation has endowed this leftist patronage network. It is the 12th largest private foundation in the US with assets of $7.6 billion and ~$260 million doled out annually. Benefactor John Donald MacArthur was born into poverty in 1897 and passed away as one of the richest men in the world in 1978 . He was a capitalist who believed in free markets and made a fortune from insurance. However, he made a fatal mistake - he did not direct how his money should be spent. MacArthur told the foundation board: "I figured out how to make the money. You fellows will have to figure out how to spend it.”
Like many children of the wealthy, MacArthur’s son J. Roderick was a resentful and entitled lefty. Rod feuded with his father throughout his life. After the elder MacArthur passed away, he packed the board with his cronies so that the foundation would no longer back any conservative causes. He even started his own foundation called the MacArthur Justice Center, which wages lawfare for the leftist agenda.
The MacArthur Foundation’s current President is John Palfrey VII. On paper, he should be a blue-blooded steward of American values: Teddy Roosevelt is his great-great-grandfather on his mother’s side, while John Palfrey I was founder of the Harvard Divinity School on his father’s side. Sadly it appears this illustrious line is ending at VII, as he does not have any children.
Before MacArthur, John served as Head of School at the prestigious Phillips Andover. His biography brags about how he doubled the number of faculty members of color and created the Tang Institute at Andover, which seeks to “reform and democratize” teaching and learning. John has implanted the same DEI subversion at MacArthur, packing the Board of Directors and Executive Team with intersectionality shields to the point where he is the one of the only white men left:

The MacArthur Foundation is one of many bottomless pits for backing leftist patronage networks. This is the biggest funding gap and talent arbitrage in the culture war. Everything is downstream from culture.
The time has come for any serious Conservatives with funds and a will to win. Your social responsibility as capitalists is to stop the spread of socialism. Invest your hard-earned money in projects that align with your values and make immediate impacts. Stop wasting your cash on vanity bonfires like the Nikki Haley campaign. The hundreds of millions burnt on her campaign alone could have funded thousands of based MacArthur Grants.
Elon and Trump can’t do all the heavy lifting and absorb all the arrows. Through sheer force of nature, they took over Twitter and the Oval Office. For their opposition to the regime, they are facing the full weight of the US Government acting in coordination with leftist billionaire NGOs funded by Soros, Gates, Hoffman, MacKenzie Bezos (who has already showered over $10 billion of her divorce settlement on leftist causes), etc.
We need reinforcements. Shit or get off the pot. The risk of doing nothing is far greater than the risk of taking a stand. Don’t wait until you are dead and your heirs piss your fortune away to spite you like Rod MacArthur did to his father.

I am still waiting for the 60-minute episode where they interview illegals and the illegals explain how they were recruited by NGO operatives with promises of Citizenship and transportation. Is anyone else surprised by the lack of interest in how the illegals are brought here? It's a forbidden story. We aren't dealing with some border migration of a few Mexicans. Instead we have a planned and executed invasion.
This is all absolutely true- particularly in regards to the arts. Typically, when I see an artist has received a grant (practically of any kind) their work is usually shite. In order to receive one, you must have been able to do the box-checking. Art today, feels like homework. Hopelessly academic, grievance based- drumming up the ills and plights of the past with little or no concern for the individual. I hate just about anything based on one´s "heritage", with the exception of family recipes.
