In past wars battlefields were littered with the broken bodies of the young. In today's underhand Chinese-Marxist war against the West, our streets, schools and cities are littered with the broken minds of young people.

Pinned this powerful comment. It gave me an idea for another post. The CCP is waging a new Opium War in revenge for what the West did to them in the 1800s. TikTok is digital opium and Chinese fentanyl is flowing across the open border with help from the cartels and 10% for the Big Guy.

very good info here on the drugs racket: https://youtu.be/ey5RUIVlyPw

I was hoping you'd like my analogy, it's so damn true. This isn't a shooting war. And yes, drugs are a massive issue, the evil Left have ALWAYS pushed drugs in varying degrees, now it's huge.

Expand full comment

The ‘belief’ in drugs is indoctrinated, a religion of our day. The high priests at altar wear white coats with a rubber thing slung loosely around the neck. The Pharma priests, a divergent sect, wear a white collar, although, societal pressure has down dressed them a little but same drug religion. Not left and certainly not right.

So true. I've gone on holiday with friends, they open their luggage to reveal half a pharmacy, as if they're expecting to die.

I live in Canada and cannot tell you how insane our government and culture are.

Both of my parents come from wealthy families that are a part of the white establishment, and neither of them has ever had to lift a finger. My siblings and I never had to, either. I can tell you it has done nothing but corrode the family’s values and relationships. My mother is a crystal-worshipping hippie who divorced my father because she was bored. She believes that she will single-handedly change the world with empathy and meditation. When she’s not practising downward-dog, she shops at Gucci with her alimony cheque. She also says absurdities like, “I wish I never had children, but the patriarchy made me do it” (in absolute seriousness).

My dad is re-married to a horrible woman, for whom it is her fourth marriage. Outside of their jobs, they sit on their phones all day. They order Uber Eats for dinner every night because neither knows how to cook. They always riff about how spoiled millennials are, yet they never think for a minute that their generation had any hand in it.

Both of my parents would define themselves as liberal. My mother is very woke, although she doesn’t know what that is. She thinks voting for the most progressive policies possible is the moral thing to do. To her, Trudeau is amazing…bring in all the refugees, defund the police, give sex changes to children, add the carbon tax, keep draconian COVID mandates etc. My dad thinks some of the wokeness is insane but is sympathetic to most of it. I can tell you neither possess critical thinking skills nor can they form independent thoughts. They believe that whatever the (government-owned) news spews must be correct and that things like equality of outcome are great ideas.

I am an adult now and struggle to be self-reliant. I grew up with so much material wealth but so much poverty in every other sense – my parents never instilled any values in us as children or provided any structure or attention. I always felt jealous of children with wise parents and strong values. However, I realize now how exceptionally rare that is. It seems that apart from those with extremely strict, non-Western parents, everyone in this society takes things for granted. Whether they had much wealth or very little, people I know who grew up in Canada seem unfathomably ungrateful, entitled and self-obsessed. They don’t see why self-dignity and boundaries matter; they think all traditions are backward (except for FGM and honour killings), as are the people who disagree with their ‘progressive’ ideas (unless in the name of religion by minorities). No one has any appreciation for high culture or any knowledge of history. Everything just seems so dumbed-down, gaslit and meaningless.

Sometimes I look back on the West when it still had values, beauty and sanity, and I feel devastated at what seems irrecoverably lost. I feel so much anger and disbelief at how we let this happen. But then I realize that this era is only the result of absolute decadence; excessive wealth and comfort inevitably lead to decay and collapse. I look at my family and see the perfect microcosm of our demoralized society…and then I have to look at myself and try to be different.

It’s good to know some people out there feel the same way as me, I just wish I could meet some in real life.

For some reason, when I read your comment about meeting people, I thought of this JP podcast from 4/2017. I hope there is something there...

NGOs have failed for the fundamental reason that the notion of the dignity of each and every human being, and the fight for human rights that springs from that are rooted in Christianity. These organizations are decidedly not Christian, and have revealed themselves to be, in fact, anti-Christian.

Best of luck to your family, Comrade Yuri.

When he gets here Tovarisch, he needs to publicly ridicule the people proclaiming the virtues of socialism. His would be a powerful voice of truth.

"Do you think life will ever go back to normal?"

Early on during the Peloponnesian War Athens was stricken with a horrible virus that killed many and demoralized the survivors. One book I read about the war said that the effects were felt for more than a generation and remained for the rest of the war. The world changed in 2020 and there's no going back.

Et tu, Amnesty International!??

That was really sad and infuriating reading their denunciations of the Canadian trucker protests.

So if there's one person in a crowd of thousands with a Dixie flag or some stupid swastika (assuming that's true), then suddenly the benefit of the doubt switches to the government and they're justified removing the civil rights of thousands of people? for "safety"? "unspecified harms"? have we really devolved so quickly into a totally symbolic, postliterate society that all it takes is a single flag to melt your brain and your supposed principles?

I just hope they maintain the same standard for the future. I assume any protest anywhere on the globe will be denounced and delegitimized if someone in it is carrying the Hammer & Sickle or wearing a Che shirt. Didn't that side murder millions too?

I guess I've lived long enough to learn a hard truth: yesterday's freedom-fighting rebel always becomes today/tomorrow's moralistic petty tyrant who gains power and becomes all he once claimed to hate.

All our globalist institutions have befouled themselves and need to be burned down.

It's interesting how your Uncle feels that COVID and the CCP are equal in their 'Scariness.'

I wonder if there's a cultural component to the lingering fear of COVID

@YURI: YES, THE PRIVATE/PUBLIC PARTNERSHIP HAS EVOLVED JUST LIKE IT WAS PLANNED TO EVOLVE! INCREMENTALISM HAS ALLOWED THOSE IN THE PRIVATE TO ACCUMULATE PUBLIC PROPERTY AND WEALTH THROUGH THE EMBEZZLEMENT OF PUBLIC ASSETS! ONE CAN RESEARCH AND FIND ROADS, BRIDGES AND PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE OWNED BY OTHER PEOPLE AND COUNTRIES!

I was an Amnesty member for about 25 years. When they abandoned Bradley (Now Chelsea) Manning for reporting war crimes by US in 2010 I revolted. They took money from Soros to support the pro side in the Irish abortion referendum (for which they should have been prosecuted for treason.) They have been a Trojan Horse waiting for the right moment to strike.
