This lovely tribute tells me that she was blessed with a long, meaningful life and even through the hardships, she fought for her dignity. She surely leaves an important legacy for her family and all who knew her.

That was lovely. Thanks for sharing.

My Grandma, 1910-1983, lived with me when I was a child. She woke me up every morning by singing “you are my sunshine”.

A great memory to hear your Grams singing it. You made my Sunday morning. ❤️

Yuri, grandmother June must have been amazing. She saw some amazing changes in the world during her life (just think what the world was like in 1930), and I'm happy to hear she passed peacefully after living through a quite tumultuous age of world history. It's rare these days to hear of peaceful, old-age passings.

Love Abides

Often we are found in our grief and comforted

calmed by some kindness

brought alive again by beauty

that catches us undefended.

Even when the sun is most thin and far

even at the hour the storm is at its height

we can go through

renewal nests within sorrow

love abides, even beyond anger, beyond death.

We are held in an embrace invisible but infinite

moving with all creation

between wholeness and fragmentation

moving always toward the one.

Small joys and great sorrows pass

and we, with steps uncertain, move on

to whatever is next

but continually seen, heard, held

by Life infinite and remote, intimate and abiding.

Love, do not let us go.

Amen.

This is beautiful, Yuri. I am sorry for your loss.

"I will keep myself busy!" What an old school, tough mentality after everything she went through. She is an example to us all.

Thank you. Resonances with my own experiences.

Reverence both for a deeply-layered life lived and for the families and cultures that respect those who have attained wisdom and pass on love and courage to those receptive.

To do this in a degenerate teenage Western culture that is marked by shallowness, hatred and division is an achievement and still an aim for those with the presence of mind to keep their heads, intuition and bravery in the present malevolent Western energy trying to destroy the world.
