This statement applies to the MBA grad having an existential crisis: The only opinion you should be allowed to have at this point is whether your shoes are too tight or not. Get some real life experience. Get off social media. Learn how to live.

You can apply this to most of these people.

I had a good laugh reading about the rich mean girlbosses Vishal Garg. They've run out of "deplorables" to turn on, so now they are eating their own. In my experience it has been much better working under men. Less drama, gossip, backstabbing and micromanaging in the workplace.

>>> "Why are our some of our best and brightest spending time on this instead of solving humanity’s biggest problems or procreating more smart humans?"

Because they're actually dipshits and no longer are the 'Best and brightest'

I've been jaded for so long people have told me I seem like I'm never impressed by any business. I've heard people say they hire/look for the "best and brightest" for so long only to see the polar opposite (who are then rewarded for mediocrity) that I wonder if they were EVER the "best and brightest."

There are fewer days than ever that pass without me congratulating myself that I dropped out of college with about a year's worth of credits altogether since torturing myself for no purpose is not an activity I favor.

Your roundup is our reminder that the talents which enabled our earlier ancestors to be extremely successful hunter-gatherers often work poorly in advanced civilizations. Now the challenge is a less stark version of "succeed or die" but the gene still works as originally intended.

Sociopaths, for example, make great surgeons, but the problem is so many surgeons are sociopaths. I guess we're really not intended to live in mega-groups. Perhaps viruses really are our friends.

I like Vishnal. I don't know anything about his company though but those emails are great.

Straight shooter with upper management written all over him. That's why he's the only one in this post who is still employed as CEO.

I had a friend whose eyes were not unlike Marty Feldman. I had to unfriend her, bat shit crazy she was.

Sorry about that.

At "Marty Feldman", I instantly had the "bags" bit from Young Frankenstein in my head, and now I have the giggles.
