Great post. Next time somebody asks why I write as an anon, I will direct them to this post!

You’re one of the best in the business! Naked Emperor is a great handle. What does your logo mean?

No 6 is the lead character in the '60s British television series - The Prisoner. After angrily resigning from the secret services he is kidnapped and sent to 'the Village' where they try to extract information from him. Villagers are free to move around but are under constant surveillance. It focusses on individualism vs collectivism with No 6 famous lines "I am not a number! I am a free man!" and " I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or numbered! My life is my own."

One of the best TV shows but don't watch the remake!

Great video, will have to check out the series. Patrick McGoohan is a legend for playing Edward Longshanks in Braveheart.

I especially like the episode where The Prisoner tricks Number Two into turning himself in for incompetence.

I recognized the logo! The Prisoner was one of My favorite shows!

..BONUS: Patrick McGoohan is The Prisoner. a great and underappreciated actor (especially on this side of the pond).

I’ve often felt like a coward for not attaching my name to my stuff. Thanks for cheering me up 😉

Fine line between cowardice and prudence. And also between courage and stupidity!

Sometimes writing anonymously can be cowardice, however, it can also be the bravest and most effective possible move. It depends.

Every person in the US needs to watch the G Edward Griffin-Yuri Bezmenov interviews. Assuming they are still available. Like prophecy from Scripture, everything they discussed 40 years ago is coming to fruition. Most of it we’ve already lived through.

Joe Rogan mentioned him in the opening of his latest podcast with Dr. Debra Soh. He has done it on many other episodes. The first step in subverting subversion is calling it out.

It’s funny, the oligarchs that control corp media and well, just about everything else, by their obfuscation of truth they brought about platforms like this one that are daily exposing the bullshit they’ve been hiding for decades! The truth will out.

I just did a cursory search. I didn't find anything. I'd like to watch.

I’m just getting started, but I also figured it would be easier to write honestly by remaining anonymous. Reading writers like Yuri Bezmenov, El Gato Malo, Simulation Commander, Spaceman Spiff and Morgthorak the Undead inspired me to try to put my own thoughts out there. Thanks and keep up the great anonymous work!

“Our works in stone, in paint, in print, are spared, some of them, for a few decades or a millennium or two, but everything must finally fall in war, or wear away into the ultimate and universal ash - the triumphs, the frauds, the treasures and the fakes. A fact of life: we're going to die. "Be of good heart," cry the dead artists out of the living past. "Our songs will all be silenced, but what of it? Go on singing." Maybe a man's name doesn't matter all that much.”

It's also okay to be yourself. You missed making that point. Both have advantages/disadvantages.

It takes both to make a team imo

Yes I respect the dissident writers who use their real name too. MSM propagandists, not so much ;)

Agree. And the beauty is, you can switch it up when circumstances dictate

Franklin was in a league of his own switching between his real name and many pseudonyms. Starts to feel a bit schizo to have that many voices in your head.

When I first re-joined X -after Elon took it over- my preferred handle was taken. So I made a new one. I so enjoyed being ambiguous, androgynous and anonymous that I’ve used the new handle/identity in a couple different places! I hate that many of us feel the need to self censor when we aren’t anonymous, and I hope that the deep thinkers will be heard in 2024.

Great essay, as usual. And from the past...

The authors of the Federalist Papers, including Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay, chose to write under pen names. They used the collective pseudonym "Publius." The decision to remain anonymous served several important purposes during the late 18th century.

Personal attacks were likely during a time of political polarization and regional differences. Using pen names avoided ad hominem arguments. By writing this method, they shielded themselves from personal attacks. This protected the substance of their arguments. This strategy allowed the Federalist Papers to maintain a higher level of intellectual discourse.

Anonymity also encouraged a wider readership. People were more likely to engage with the Federalist Papers. They didn't have preconceived biases based on the authors' previous positions or affiliations. This helped the papers reach a diverse audience. It facilitated a more open-minded consideration of the ideas presented.

Using pen names allowed the authors to adapt their arguments to changing circumstances. If one of the authors changed their position on a particular issue, it wouldn't be immediately clear. The collective identity of Publius could remain consistent.

Until about six months ago, I always posted using my real name. It was under the assumption that someday I might be in a fox hole or in jail. My intent was that my fellow resistance fighters/inmates might recognize me and vice versa--we’d know who was legit.

That ended when I got in an online spat (over strength training lol). My interlocutor realized I was using my real name, and he intimated a veiled threat along the lines of, “that’s a beautiful daughter you have there, be ashamed if anything happened to her.” Then, I got hacked.

I’m still not comfortable writing anon, but why make it easy for the crazies and haters?

Not sure if I write as an anon or not... LOL! Several decades ago, I was given the name, "Amaterasu" by a friend. I added the second name shortly after when a form I was filling out would not take just a first name. And except when I, under duress, must deal with the system, only have used "Amaterasu Solar."

That IS My name, and the stuff tacked onto Me at birth is a TRUST now.

Yuri, I hope you're taking steps to harden your privacy defenses against doxxing and retaliation by online commie scum.

If you haven't already, please consider reading one or more of Michael Bazzell's most current "Extreme Privacy" publications. I recommend starting with his guide to cell phones entitled "Extreme Privacy: Mobile Devices" as soon as you can.

Great work. Please keep pushing.
