Anyone else notice how many females there are in this post? And most of the males also have a very dubious look to them.

Some might say it was a mistake to give women the vote, because of their emotionality and their stronger herd instinct. Have things gotten better since suffrage?

But then women, as individuals, are smarter and in many ways better than men.

I doubt that Biden would have ever become president, if not for women.

Men build civilizations; women destroy them.

Just look at Europe's disastrous results with open border after Mother Merkel invited the Third World into not only Germany but the whole of Europe. Look at the feminist dystopia of Sweden which allowed more fake refugees in on a per capita basis than anyone else. Crime and rape have skyrocketed making the streets unsafe for women and girls.

Today even feminists are admitting it was a huge mistake and pushing for deportation.

Finally, only simps say nonsense like: "But then women, as individuals, are smarter and in many ways better than men."

Very few women actually wanted the vote in the first place. It was pushed on us as a way to get more women in the workforce and paying taxes.

I’m not old enough to have first-hand knowledge of the pre-suffrage area. Where did you get your info?

Recently road my bike past the old prison, south of DC, where the suffragette leaders were incarcerated.

Expand full comment

I've read and watched videos about it. The suffragette leaders were the feminists of their day. They were violent extremists. They could justifiably be called terrorists. Ultimately, though, it was men who gave us women the vote.

The suffragette movement was mirrored when women's lib started up. I can remember seeing a comic in the newspaper where some women's lib leaders were ranting about how happily married mothers were detrimental to the movement.

== Women are smarter than men [snip]

Citation for this claim, or GTFO.

Using data from the 2013 SAT (the last data that was available by race and sex) it is clear that women are roughly 0.5σ (6 points) dumber than men, race held constant. That is to say: white women are 0.5σ dumber than white men; Asian women are 0.5σ dumber than Asian men; etc.

Asian (esp East Asian) women are smarter than men of all races except Asian.

But the thing that very-specifically leads - just through 'the math' - to women being dramatically under-represented in STEM (esp. at postgrad) is that women's performance has a lower σ; if white men's IQ is ~N(100, 15), then white women are ~N(94, 14).

Do the math: the 99th percentile (roughly μ+2σ) for men is 130; for women it's 122 - barely midwit. So - because of the lognormal fall in IQ above the mean - there are roughly 10x the number of men as women who have the cognitive "grunt" for grad study in a 'real' discipline, and the higher you go, the worse the ratio for women. [That's why men dominate the ranks of postgrads on merit scholarships].

That's why so many women believe stupid shit. They're OBJECTIVELY dumber. It's also why SCOTUS AA-hires Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson say STUPID SHIT in open court.

John Roberts has been known to say very stupid shit in open court, I’m told, and I know he’s written some pretty dumbfuck opinions.

Expand full comment

Roberts isn't smart enough to have gotten a full-ride merit scholarship from undergrad to PhD: that's my criterion fir smartness - if you haven't got a competitive merit scholarship, you probably shouldn't be there.

That said, he graduated summa cum laude back when the term had not been credentialised out of all meaning in the US. That puts him solidly in the 99th percentile, so he might be smart enough so that it's worth pissing in him if he's on fire.

I would generally assume that if he says something that seems ludicrous (like his bullshit of ObamaCare - the non-tax tax) then I assume he had to confect a plausible rationale in order to please his Massah, so just phoned it in.

Once you've taken the ticket, your entire future depends on your compliance with Massah. Roberts SCREAMS "closeted gay man" (NTTAWWT), so my guesses as to his motivations include his desire to avoid disclosure of kompromat (held by his Massah, not his enemies).

I don't know how old you are Kratoklastes, but while very smart kids can get more-or-less full rides to (some) excellent schools these days, that was nearly impossible in the 1970s and 1980s. In those days, merit-based scholarships were small potatoes and universities put all their money into need-based scholarships.

So, I don't think it is fair to hold this against Roberts. Times have changed.

I’ve seen a few of grotesquely unpatriotic opinions on his account over the years, and I think it’s rooted in his being a classist , that is seemingly unavoidable in situations like his. His ability to adhere to indoctrination and establishment programming over time, speaks more to the values of the culture & its transmission. I’d be more impressed with a math PhD than humanities, and not all doctorates are created equal…

Classism has its utility, sure, that’s well documented among the humanity. But it’s not libertarian. Serving class over individual autonomy is a common intellectual failing that often goes unchecked, q.e.d.

One of the most pernicious aspects of lawfare wasn't even mentioned. Sue and Settle is where activists and like minded Deep State minions, notably environmentalists, conspire to create a policy. The activists sue, the bureaucrats settle, and a judge enters an order. Presto, instant law without the inconvenient necessity of actually using the Constitutional process. Conservatives were starting to catch on to this which is why Roberts, using the extra-constitutional entity of the Judicial Council, just changed the rules to restrict the 5th Circuit which is the favorite venue of conservatives. It was all dressed up in high-minded rhetoric but that is the effect.

This is how the drinking water standard for arsenic was lowered from 50 ppb to 10 ppb. Twenty some years ago, I attended a public meeting in Fairbanks, Alaska with representatives from the EPA on the issue of arsenic in drinking water. It's of particular interest to Fairbanksans since we live in a prolific gold district in which the bedrock is particularly enriched with heavy metals, including arsenic. In certain geologic setting, arsenic is often found with gold. Before the meeting began, two EPA attorneys introduced the topic and described the lawsuit brought against the EPA by the usual cabal of green entities. They were suing to lower the maximum standard to 5 ppb. The EPA attorneys told us there is no scientific basis for the new standard and that the suit is not based on science, but would rely on "legal defensibility" of the 50 ppb standard. If the EPA could not defend their 50 ppb standard, they would have to settle at some lower standard. The settlement was made for 10 ppb and presto (as you wrote), a new nationwide regulation is created. I can't help but think that both sides were actually on the same side and that operatives within the EPA suggested the lawsuit to friends in Big Green.

I was just thinking, Trump gets sued by a woman who made unverifiable claims that he molested her in a dressing room that she invited him into, some unknown number of years ago. She gets millions of dollars in spite of NO evidence.

Only weeks ago, an illegal alien brutally murdered Laken Riley, and it's already off the front pages. How many millions of dollars do you suppose her murderer will be sued for? That's right, not a penny.

There are millions of ignorant fools out there who excuse their hatred and ignorance, believing they are on the 'right' side. In fact, they are the same personality types that cheered on Hitler. Stalin, Mao, and Castro.

My heart hurts so badly for Dr. Navarro this morning. I prayed for him during my entire drive to work that God strengthen him, protect him and give him comfort. He has done NOTHING wrong yet is the latest to go down while being innocent. There are many more coming too and those who have been bankrupted by the legal system going after them when all they tried to do is tell the truth. "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil." Come, Lord Jesus, Come, but in the meantime please keep your remnant strong and strength patriots like Dr. Navarro and protect him not only from the other inmates, but from the prison guards themselves.

If someone can't pass a Bar exam, that doesn't bode well. A friend failed the bar four times, but he kept at it and passed. I gave him a secret revealed after I took a practice exam with a nasty hangover. The exam isn't your friend. It is designed to trip you up and recognize that fact quickly while also testing your knowledge. Both traits are critical to client representation. That said, I am weary of a profession that has a monopoly on our system. The average person cannot afford the $300-500 per hour attorneys charge. Already, there exists a vibrant arbitration system, which is private, with qualified judges for hire. I wonder if companies in WA and otherwise will seek to deal exclusively with such an arrangement, fearing a foolish judge should they end up in court. Thus, we will have another two-tier system.

300 to 500 / hour are practically plumbers’ (et al) rates in 2024. Also I think the American legal profession is increasingly a naked emperor.

Expand full comment

Don't follow the naked emperor. Are the attorneys the naked emperor or are they part of the crowd supporting the naked emperor? I agree with the latter. I was initially shocked at how my former profession fell lock step with all the orders. When I understood that many firms depend on either government contracts or clients that have relationships with the govern (an attorney I know represents Johnson and Johnson) it all became clear.

Do you not get it YET that the socialist have control of our justice system and Congress??? Judges have been put in place or bought and paid for on purpose. Having "our own Deep 6 project" will go no where because Republicans in government and our legal system have either sold their souls or been blackmailed to sell their souls. This plot began in the 1910's and they slithered their way slowly into every aspect of our country for one goal. Take down the United States. We go down and the rest of the world falls like dominoes into the new world order. Time to see reality.
