How To Spot a Manufactured Hoax
A comprehensive list of Leftist hoaxes in the 21st Century: COVID, climate, race, rape, war, Trump/Biden
Comrades: A lie travels halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to put its pants on. It is easier to fool someone than convince them they’ve been fooled. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me forever, I’m a useful idiot.
Hoaxes are an insidious form of lying because they invent something that never happened. These little lies prop up the Big Lies that reinforce The Narrative. They are designed to enrage useful idiots, confuse normies, and foment division to demoralize a society. The government and corporations gain more power, while we lose our rights and trust in society. MSM claims to inform, but in reality they lie and amplify hoaxes.
This post will compile all of the Left’s hoaxes to serve as a reference to keep us sane and persuade others. Please comment with anything I may have missed. Each section will contain the most prominent examples and links to sources. Every hoax ruins at least one life directly. The loved ones of the hoax victim must provide taxing emotional and financial support. For everyone else, we grow numb and skeptical of real crimes conducted by real criminals. The memory hole pairs with hoaxes to bury any stories that run counter The Narrative.

2021 was peak COVID/jab. 2022 was peak trans. 2023 will be peak DIE/ESG. I hope that 2024 will be a referendum away from hoaxes and back to reality. Anytime the MSM is pumping a story about The Current Thing, it is likely a hoax to whip up NPC hysteria. It is up to us to dispel them. This is a good framework:
Race hoaxes
Jussie Smollett: claimed he was attacked by racists screaming “This is MAGA country” on a cold winter night in Chicago, but he staged it with two Nigerian friends.
Hassan Minhaj: many of his stories about racism never happened, but he called them “emotional truths”.
Covington Catholic: high school kids branded as racists for smiling at a deranged man.
Canada Catholic Church: alleged mass graves of indigenous children were not real, but 80+ churches were burned and desecrated in retaliation over a false narrative.
BLM: The biggest race hustle of them all. All of the money went to its leaders, who bought real estate in mostly white areas. DIE has grifted billions, $30 million of which went to Ibrahim Kendi’s now defunct Anti-Racism Center at Boston University.

Rape hoaxes
Duke Lacrosse: players accused of rape by strippers smeared by media, found innocent.
University of Virginia: fraternity brothers accused of gang rape smeared by Rolling Stone’s “A Rape on Campus” story, but the story was fabricated.
Brian Burke: high school football star on the way to USC imprisoned for 6 years and on probation for 5 years following a false rape accusation, lost a lucrative NFL career.
Brett Kavanaugh: attempted railroading by the Left summoning a witness with hazy memories from 30+ years ago.
Johnny Depp: defamed by Amber Heard’s claims of "sexual violence" and "domestic abuse"
I have seen several men’s lives destroyed by these hoaxes.

Trump/Biden hoaxes
Russia Collusion and Steele Dossier: faked by Hillary/DNC.
Hunter Biden’s laptop: real, not Russian disinformation.
Biden’s cognitive functioning: severely impaired.
2020 Election: full of irregularities including bellweather counties, lawless mass mail-in ballots, late night vote dumps heavily favoring Biden, counting for days. Dems challenge elections when they lose i.e. Hillary 2016, Abrams 2018.
Jan 6: not a coup or insurrection, Trump did not incite, no one was armed, far less damage than Summer 2020 BLM/Antifa “mostly peaceful protests”, undercover FBI agents everywhere like Ray Epps.
Governor Whitmer: kidnappers were mostly FBI agents.

COVID hoaxes
Masks: don’t work.
Jabs: don’t stop infection or transmission, not safe or effective. Negative risk/reward of side effects, especially for healthy young people.
Alternative therapies: Ivermectin, hydroxychloriquine are effective and low-cost treatments that were denied, leading to many deaths.
Ventilators: killed many people who didn’t need them.
Lockdowns: closing schools and businesses caused more harm than good, especially with learning loss.

Iraq: no WMDs, but killed over a million Iraqis and 4,424 American soldiers.
Afghanistan: 20 years of nation building wasted, ended in Taliban takeover and 2,402 dead American soldiers including 13 blown up during the disastrous Kabul evacuation.
Ukraine: not unprovoked, Ghost of Kiev, $100 billion will yield a successful counteroffensive that takes Crimea, ongoing.

I remember the "global cooling" panic of the 1970s. When the "global warming" nonsense started, I figured it was more environmentalist than science. Does the climate change over time? Yes. it is a cyclical pattern of warming and cooling that isn't new. Does human activity affect climate? Maybe a little, but not catastrophically. Do we need to be better stewards of the planet? Yes. But mostly so we can live long enough to enjoy its beauty. It doesn't need saving.
