Your mother and grandmother sound like my mother. She was about as big as a nail but tougher than a hammer. She raised 4 boys, all of us currently subverting the subversion.

Happy Mamma and Babushka Day to you and the women in your life, Comrade Yuri! Mama bears like myself cultivate and cancel out all influences within our children’s lives. We serve as Protector, Filter, Educator, Teacher, Prophetess, and all-knowing BS detectors.

Thank you Yuri. I admire a man who can so eloquently and publicly validate all of the women in his life. You are fortunate that you have all of that maternal love and energy swarming around you. It must be all of that that inspires your writing skill.

Called my mother as you suggested but the call was picked up by Jesus and he told me I had better shape up if I want to talk to Mom.

How and why did he die?

I found this article: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/wall-street-banker-s-death-at-35-ignites-firestorm-over-alleged-grueling-100-hour-work-weeks/ar-BB1m73zq. The article is implying that his death was due to being overworked and overstressed. It also states that he passed from "acute coronary artery thrombus." Likely a blood clot had formed, restricted blood flow, and resulted in a heart attack.

Risk factors of coronary thrombosis: hypertension (high blood pressure), smoking, type 1 or type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), obesity or overweight, certain cancers, pregnancy, a family history of blood clots and/or being over 60 years of age. From published photos showing how fit he appeared, and having been a courageous Green Beret, serving in our military 24/7 under harrowing and/or exhaustive conditions while at the tip of the spear, I have a hunch that another factor was at play. As a Mom who always keeps it real, it's the elephant in the room. So very tragic. RIP Mr. Lukenas, your strength, fortitude, and fatherly influence to your children will be missed.
