NYC is a mess, NYE in Times Square a black hole of everything wrong with western civilization. People wear diapers because there are no restrooms and you are crammed shoulder to shoulder for the whole day. My escape from New York piece documents the full decade of demoralization...
I’ve read and enjoyed that article. I feel exactly the same sentiment every NYE concerning the trough and wallow of Times Square. I suspect this year will be much, much worse than usual.
It's interesting that when I first joined SS (a few months ago now), when I did a search for Myself, My substack articles were showing up on the first page. And then... At some point - not sure when; I actually don't often check what the search engines are returning often - they vanished - just like My other work.
I wrote an article about searching My name a few years ago and seeing the first page about half-filled with My recent work, but then doing one at the time I wrote the article to find nothing about Me at all.
Interestingly, I wrote the article and then just checked again before posting - and My YouToilet account, that I no longer post to (too old to make videos anymore) was on that page of returns.
So I added that fact to the end of the article. (I did not post that article here...)
Today, the YouToilet account and My X-Twatter account are there - the X-Twatter account is so severely shadow banned that I rarely get a single interaction with any post I make.
