How Hamilton made it past first screening is beyond me. It’s obnoxious, and anyone that sits through it has to wash their brain with some Nine Inch Nails afterwards just to touch base with reality again. The soy boys love to virtue signal their version of history but reality has a gravity that can’t be escaped. Brought to you by the governments that want you dead.

It made it past first screening (and on to global success) because aside from the race of the actors which was a creative decision, it was a great production. You don’t even have to watch it on stage (where a lot of the content can be missed); can just listen to it on Spotify or Apple music as a regular album. An interest and knowledge of history and civics is a prerequisite though, as is enjoyment of hip hop, so it’s not for everybody.

Just because new cultural leaders are now decreeing that everything from the “past regime” was shit, it doesn’t mean we have to go blindly go along cuz…tribalism. That’s stupid!

It wasn’t a “creative” decision to alter the racial backgrounds of the characters it was an ideological decision.

Hilarious that Judge Reyes cited Hamilton as a source. (Insert man-smacking-forehead emoji.)

About a decade ago I read an essay on leftist Robert Scheer's now-defunct website "Truthdig." The essayist, a Native-American graduate of an Ivy League law school (I wonder what his LSATs were) printed a quote expressing the profound wisdom of one of the greatest minds in history: Was it Aristotle? No. Marcus Aurelius? No. Dostoevsky? No. He quoted YODA...

It's incredible when you see that these people actually buy the propoganda, like when they'll say that Jesus was dark skinned, as if that would anger people. Maybe somebody somewhere, but in reality it's irrelevant. They care so much about race, they don't have the self awareness to know that they're projecting onto others their own obsession with it.

The real problem with *Hamilton* isn’t the music, or the race swaps. It’s the way it distorts the personalities and accomplishments of Hamilton’s opponents to make Hamilton look better. Thomas Jefferson was actually an awkward, soft-spoken man, not a swaggering peacock douchebag; and James Madison was a legal and philosophical genius, not Jefferson’s toady who kept lamely trying to insert himself into conversations. It gives the impression that the Anti-Federalists didn’t have any legitimate concerns about the federal government - they just personally disliked Hamilton.

Also, “Immigrants - we get the job done!” is not only cringeworthy, it’s not even accurate. Hamilton was born in another British colony, so he was no more an immigrant to the 13 American colonies than I would be if I moved from Ohio to California. And Lafayette was a French citizen - French nobility, in fact. When you can’t even get your applause lines right, what’s left?

It's amazing how patently propagandic the Netflix series "Adolescence" is. I don't have Netflix, so maybe it's all this bad! But for this show in particular, I noticed that the mass-formation is also supplemented by the New Yorker that published a featured article subtitled: "The creators of the hit Netflix miniseries think of the contemporary English boy as a fragile creature, abandoned by society." Ah, White boys just need more society, multiculturally institutionalize them harder! Which is why we all need to get onboard for more global socialism! (My snark).

This article is of course written by a BIPOC cartoon (literally and figuratively, as all the authors have obnoxiously self-serious cartoon portraits in the New Yorker) who is also not English at all but Haitian-American LOL! Doreen St. Felix, color me shocked. Oh sorry, gotta get that accent-aigu in there: St. Félix.

She writes in the first paragraph: "Are Americans stunned by "Adolescence" because of the culture shock it offers? Over here, the drama about a white pubescent child and his purported mortal sin would unfold as a true-crime detective plot... The question it poses, and refuses to resolve, is _why._" See the tricky sophist sleight of hand there? We're not asking "if" or "what" actually happened (or what it might be based on "inspired by") – we can presume those are givens due to systemic racism and such – rather let's just deconstruct the _why_ with as much convicted passion and postmodern ignorance of empirical reality as humanly possible.

The show, and accompanying "lib liturgy" (i.e. NYer) is shockingly what you might call a "cultural coverup". Obviously the real scandal is the (brown) radical islamic psychos who are stabbing (white) girls, but we're not allowed to even observe that because it would be uncouth, impolite, we who watch Netflix and read the New Yorker have not been "abandoned by society". (More snark).

Under the modern Left dispensation, the only acceptable boys are either those who were born female or those from a "minoritized" background.

Every other kind is dangerous and suspicious, mostly because they might at some point commit the ultimate crime of thinking for themselves.

But the most important thing is to find a sacred victim to worship and adore (publicly), not because of the subject in question, but because the paramount purpose is always displaying moral superiority and being rewarded for acts of atonement.

Social Justice is really a very warped Christian heresy.

This may be more true than you know. My twins are 14 and there's definitely a change back to first principles by gen z.

They're starting to understand that progressivism is an instrument for hate.

They see it's a religion of self hatred:

- It teaches white people to hate their race

- boys to hate their sex

- girls to hate their femininity

- Americans to hate their country

- westerners to hate their history

What a loathsome poisonous thing it is.

They sense this even if they can't quite put their finger on it.

Yuri, you are game on with this column. The stampede of wealthy white people who rushed to see Hamilton reminds me of how many progressive intellectuals in France embraced Rousseau, the radical activist of his day. What followed were the guillotine, anarchy, and then Napoleon, essentially a military dictatorship. We have been on a similar path in the West.

I'd watch a hypothetical musical rendition of "Jefferson" if he was incongruently played by a gargantuan samoan, as long as it was based and trolling the intersectional obsessions of said theater kids. Woke casting is dead, there's no debating it – that trend lasted a decade at most.

There should be a "Jefferson". Hamilton was not an exemplary revolutionary for the spirit of America's independence, other founding fathers and framers were.

“1776” isn’t the most historically accurate musical, but it’s a lot better than “Hamilton,” and it gets Jefferson about 90-95% right. Check out the 1972 movie version, starring most of the original Broadway cast.

I saw Hamilton on PBS and thought it was dumb but I guess this what passes for talent these days. On PBS several years ago was a Shakespearean drama based on historical characters. The actress who played the queen did a fantastic job and the only problem was there was never a French queen who was black.

I have an equally asinine example, not exactly parallel but pointless in the same way. More than a decade ago WETA-PBS in Washington, DC, broadcast a topless version of Rigoletto. In period costume, but the women were naked from the waist up. It was horrifying AND hilarious.
