Selling is one of the most important skills in life. However, our education system does not teach sales because it is designed to mold obedient, helpless subjects and not informed, empowered citizens. I never took a single class on sales from public school through my Demoralized DIE League “elite” university, so I had to learn the hard way in the real world.
Like it or not, we are selling and negotiating every day. The primary roles of CEOs and politicians are to sell. Professionally, I have sold everything from candy to investment products, software to the content you are enjoying here on your screen. Today I will share 10 guidelines about sales, layered with anecdotes I’ve seen in the field.
