Brilliant... and add to your list: Treppenwitz. It's the sense of humor you develop on the way down the stairs after visiting a friend's apartment, when you suddenly know what you should have said five minutes ago in a conversation.

Is that an ' esprit de escalier' in French?

Thanks to kummerspeck I've had more than my fair share of "grief bacon" during lockdown and have the extra pounds to show for it. Ugh. No worries though. The inflation and recession diet is going to slim me down really good. I looked great after the last recession and didn't even have to try to lose weight thanks to little food. True story. Can you hear my dark laughter over the keyboard?

"Sadly, Upham’s cowardice costs his comrade’s life. This is akin to the network swarm cancel culture mob and its victims. The mob is able to isolate and destroy its targets only because others are too scared to help."

At the end of that scene, also very applicable here, is that the German soldier comes back down the stairs, after killing the American soldier, and walks right past Upham without bothering to kill him, as he intuitively knew that Upham was not a viable threat.

Could it be that some of those German words are long enough to be their own sentence of description? Yikes...

The new ones 😂🤣

And now I'm off to share the Hitler Rants and probably get banned from FarceBook...

You don't have to be Amish to use common sense ,just like they do .Can we use horse and buggy on the free way ? Lately I see a lot of horse manure on the free way .Could the prize of gas have anything to do with it ? Cadillac is working on and designing a wind up car,to make it spring loaded .It can go two hundred KM. on one winding .Than you must wind it up again with the help of your wife .

We live just east of Lancaster County and are a local drop off point for our Amish farmer. (Sadly we live on the fringes of Karenland.) We always attend (Amish) farm day in July. The video is spot on. They aren't buying any of this crap. And God bless 'em for it.

Wish you'd left out the refugeewillkommen--really killed the mood, seriously, no attempt at cleverness from me here.

On the other hand--sometimes the most brutal example proves the insanity best. General reminder to all: forgiveness is best left to the Divine if one believes in the concept; on this earthly plane some things are truly unforgiveable and the civilization forgetting that is doomed.

Sorry for the shock and agree with your sentiment. That incident is the most visceral example of Yuri Bezmenov's famous line: You cannot reason with a demoralized person.

Thanks Tovarisch! That is a wonderful contribution to our body of knowledge. Now on to more language stuff. You will soon learn that you have a source of ancient Sumerian, in the original dialect, with your new family addition. Be sure to capture a few of those words too.
