The only Russians I've ever known were immigrants to the US. They worked where I did. They were so very nice. Alex was hilarious. It's been very many years and I still remember them. It makes me smile. --- Your pix are beautiful! I've always wanted to visit Russia.
All you have to do is look at Russians walking around Moscow to understand that they will never be conquered. Can't say the same about the folks you see waddling around Karenland FUPAZ, who appear to be already conquered...

Love! GUM! In 2014 (Ukraine was heating up) I was there during the World Cup (in Brazil). Started in St Petersburg and then went to Moscow to do my dream trip of the trans Siberian railway Moscow-Beijing via Mongolia I was big into couchsurfing at the time so I stayed with Russian hosts and we had an absolute blast. The first night in Moscow my hosts presented me with a Big Mac when I got to their apartment late around midnight 😂Russians I met were so smart and funny and kind. I have so many fond memories. Did you go to VDNKh in Moscow ? Did you take a photo in front of a Persian rug hung on a wall whilst holding a bottle of vodka and wearing a fur hat? For some reason that was extremely popular in 2014
Loved this report and pictures. My mother was Russian-born, came to US as a 20 y. o. from China after family fled Bolsheviks. Her maternal grandfather was a colonel in the Russian army. His daughter, my grandmother aka "Babushka," was a graduate of the Smolny Institute in St Petersburg, a school for daughters of the nobility founded by Catherine the Great. Both my mother and grandmother became Naturalized US citizens.
My husband and I were on a cruise in 2014 through the Baltic and were fortunate to be able to spend three days and nights in SP! The cruise lines no longer have this magnificent city as a destination any more. So sad.
Tokyo and Osaka 2019 were pretty much free of rainbow propaganda. There was a little bit in the trendy suburb of Tokyo that I was staying in but it was very rare.
Thank you for this. Mention of the Hermitage reminds me of "Russian Ark." It is a film entirely shot in a single take at the Hermitage. It features 2,000 actors in period costume covering 300 years of history.
Thanks for posting this. My Dad and I took a WW2 tour there a few years ago. Moscow, Kursk and Volgograd were the highlights. It is an amazing place and I hope to return.
I am currently trying to learn more about Russian culture and Russian history, and I certainly appreciate your article. I think that I follow you on Gab by the way. Have an awesome day. 😎👍
I'm learning Russian through Duolingo. It's pretty good and has been fairly easy so far. The Russian language is as "matter of fact" as you would expect.

Great country. Good times. Russia is too rooted and cunning to be out flanked by a self immolating west of midwit buffoonery.

How was the trans Siberian railway? Looked incredible but we didn't have enough time.
Incredible. Probably the coolest trip of my life. Platzkart
No picture of the Karl Marx statue? The ESG commissar's idol?
Hard pass, ditto with Lenin's Mausoleum. Why are people still worshipping mass murderers?
I've been to Moscow many times and I've never seen the Mausoleum attracting too much interest.

Great post. Really enjoyed it.
But ya gotta read up on legendary advertising campaigns...(hint: that store name ain't what I think you think it is...)

Beautiful. Good vibes too!
Hope you’ll have an opportunity to visit Russia again once this whole mess is over.
Thank you for writing this informative article.
