Unless you’re a diplomat, I can’t see how any American could have been allowed to spend that much time in China if they weren’t doing some kind of collaboration with the CCP. Is there any other “normal” American that has spent that much time there? Doubtful. Something stinks about this

Oh don't worry....the CCP goes after the diplomats too. Such as Canada's former Governor General David Johnston. When he chaired a supposed inquiry about what Troodo was getting up to, Johnston was like a 14 yr. old in his first love....with Beijing, and everything CCP China. His starry-eyed foolishness was embarrassing. This, from a man who had spent his career in high government and university posts. But maybe that was exactly why they wanted to mind-capture him.

CCP mastered menticide techniques on American POWs during the Korean War, now they are using them on baizuo

One of those who mastered these techniques was the North Korean Reverend Moon of the Moonies; then he introduced the brainwashing Cult Movement into 1970s America.

These excuses for businessmen is that they are overseeing their interests in China. They make it look like good business sense.

Which was one of the very reasons (there are several) that Western manufacturing was moved to China in the first place. Part of the scam.

Honest to God....THAT was one of the most stupid moves of the post-WWII West.

In this case, it is the trappings of capitalism used as the dupe-move toward Communism. And towards enriching a major Communist power so that they can move against us. They have already invested new-found riches in their military and in purchasing large swathes of property in the west (laundromats and anchor properties)

Deep economic and political masochism. But! But! We gave you (CCP) all our manufacturing, all our technology, all our intellectual property! And now, having captured us, you want to kill us!

Oh, the pain. It is so sweet.

Richard, you require more input than I can reasonably deal with in a post of two. I have already written out a great deal over thousands of posts. so I am not necessarily going to repeat it all.

You'll have to do your own homework. Begin with Totalitarianism 101.

The communist plan in this endeavor is to deflate the value of their currency, hurting the purchasing power of the Chinese people, whilst keeping the cost of goods they sell overseas artificially low. The long term strategy is to crowd out all competitors in those industries they choose to compete in. From your description, that is precisely what they achieved.

I believe very much in capitalism myself, Richard. Did you think I do not?

Problem is....if in order to continue capitalism, the movers and shakers believe it requires a dose of Communism -- they are shooting themselves in the foot.

Don't you see that?

China became a large Communist domain in the 1950s under Mao. Well known. Why would anyone entangle their business with a known Communist country like that? It will always come back to haunt you. They will always exact a price. That is the way in which Communism operates. We knew that with the Soviets. So why did everyone appear to forget this when dealing with the Communist Chinese?

Where in this saga would some education in totalitarianism illuminate your understanding? Might have kept you from turning in that direction. Don't you think? Communism is one form of totalitarianism. Where the patterns repeat no matter the time or place.

I hope that you and your business muster through. Though my perspective here is worth listening to. Sometimes, the reason people wish to turn a blind eye is that they have invested already in the side they want badly to see as the winning side.

It has long stunk. This has been going on for many years, while I shook my head at the general obtuse-ness.

It was one of the extra pay-offs in getting the West to move their manufacturing to China. They moved their minds there too.

"Walz has a deep, disturbing history with China. He first visited in 1989, when the blood from the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre was still fresh on the streets. Mr. Folksy 'Minnesota Nice' was a naive mark for the CCP. They turned him into their court eunuch useful idiot. "

I have seen this phenomenon many times. Where the influential businessman or politician from the West makes several trips to China....then returns praising Chinese Communism. And most likely working to see his new masters thrive in the West.

Western naivete about the skills of CCP brainwashers is rampant. They are like babes in the woods.

I recall the mayor of a Canadian city -- whose only prior work experience before being elected had been running a small appliance shop -- suddenly taking eight roundtrips to China. On his expense account under the mayor's job. He could never say why CCP China had anything to do with his political position or his town.

Although the city is the site of a terrific port.......

He is just awful. After Gabbard's endorsement of Trump last week, the POS HuffPost published an article dredging up the accusations against her by (then fellow) Democrats that she's a Russian asset. The article (falsely) made reference to her visiting the country *once*. For the sake of consistency and integrity, neither the POS HuffPost nor any other legacy news outlet has really investigated Walz' 30 visits to China. Sigh. The term baizuo is very accurate.

Yes and it’s infuriating

Often wonder whether MSM is playing the role of fawning baizou or if it comes naturally. There is some part of me that would be relieved (in a very dark way) if the MSM were acting. It takes a neuron or two to do that. Bowing and scraping before the leftist elites, not so much, just a knack for grovelling.

Great article. As someone who lives near Minnesota and has spent a lot of time there, the "hicklib baizou pipeline" is 100% true. People there will remain blind to the destruction around them and pat themselves on the back for voting for someone "nice" like Tim Walz. They'll happily allow their state to be taken over by Somali "asylum seekers" while looking down on anyone who disagrees.

Expand full comment

You could be describing Canadians too. Same type. As long as a person puts on the "nice" image....they never scratch beneath the surface. They become a danger to themselves and others by insisting on such mind-blindness.

Which is why this type is so eminently dupe-able. The con-men laugh their guts out at them. Including other outside ethnic groups looking to seize power.

I still cannot for the life of me understand what has befallen Canada. Why would Canada saddle itself with a fool like Trudeau? (And he is a clever and duplicitous fool, to boot.) I truly do not understand.

Let us just say that the CCP Chinese cult leaders (because cults and Communism come from the same phenomenon) do much of their luring and recruiting from the West these days. Because that is the new power-base they wish to take over.

And to do cult recruiting, it is imperative that you capture minds. The bodies then follow.

Not the first useful idiot US politician. Or traitorous calculating enemy of the US, individual liberty and freedom as founded.

The Bush Crime Family Syndicate has been in the middle of Fascism and Communism, bringing both together like Hitler-Stalin for over a century:

CNN, December 1, 2018, "How George H.W. Bush became Beijing’s ‘old friend’ in the White House"

https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/01/asia/george-h-w-bush-china-intl/index.html

“There’s no doubt Beijing sees him as the best friend China has ever had in the White House"

"As the US’ chief diplomatic envoy in China during a period before the US had formally opened an official Beijing embassy, Bush met with several key Chinese leaders, including Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping, as well as numerous military and diplomatic heads.

George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations

https://bushchinafoundation.org/u-s-china-relations-legacy/

George H.W. Bush was UN Ambassador under Pres. Nixon when the US shifted from recognizing the nationalists in Taiwan as the legitimate government of China to the communists in Beijing in the UN. He then served as the first US Envoy/Ambassador to CCP China. Then under Pres. Ford GHWB became the Director of the CIA. Soon thereafter The Agency brought in the self-admitted communist, John Brennan as a young agent, who later went on to head the CIA himself. GHWB was president during the Tienanmen Square massacre of freedom protestors. China lauded him for not making a big deal of it. Dick Cheney was his Sec. of Defense at the time. Which explains the Cheney hate Trump, Liz endorse Hairy/Balz thing. Traitors of a feather flock together.

It's in the Bush Family blood. Selling out the US and profiting from the American blood and treasure, trading with the enemy even during a World War:

Awesome post Yuri. I sometimes suspect it's too simple of an explanation, but it often squares up that all "blue no matter who" voters are those whose material security is either directly or indirectly downstream of federal funding. These people are already all-aboard for socialism.

At this point, it's patriots (actual democrats, constitutional republicans) versus homegrown socialists (who MUST expand the government using taxation and fiat in order to persist).

How about anyone who is downstream of federal funding cannot vote? Conflict of interest. Either you're paying into the system and have a say as to how your taxation is *represented* or you mind your P's and Q's and take whatever crappy perks socialism permits in the short-term.
