I'm back where I was a year ago when we heard the news of the attempted assassination of Presidential Candidate Donald J.Trump. It was a hot and humid Saturday afternoon at our summer cottage on Lake Erie. The grandchildren were in and out, while we adults were just trying to stay cool, looking at our laptops or at baseball on TV.
The bulletin from Butler flashed on our screen. We waited for more news, then the report came that the former president was up and shouting and being rushed to a local hospital -- not the usual outcome of previous assassination attempts. Our son turned to us and said, "Trump's just been reelected!" As you say, Yuri, a heaven-sent miracle.
I believe our most important goal/accomplishment now has to be taking back our public schools and universities from the Gramscian clutches of the far Left. Getting the DEI out is only a start of reversing what the Socialists on the Left have accomplished. "The problem of education is the most important class problem." "In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society." - Antonio Gramsci, 20th century Marxist theorist
The oft-heard phrase “you can’t hate the media enough” comes to mind. But thinking that is not enough; action must be taken to punish the media for what it has done, and is still doing. Until the propaganda stops, the so-called News Media needs to be shamed and boycotted as best we can. They need to be defunded (no more Pharma ads); if they aren’t truthful, they get booted off planes, and out of the WH press room. Maybe take a page out of “Rules for Radicals”, the book that tells you to isolate individuals - focus on, a specific, partisan, liar, and then attack them in every possible way, until they need to hide. . . . They’d do it to you in a heart beat.

What's amazing to me is the most susceptible brains are those of the UMC highly educated. They are deranged and think socialism/communism is a good thing and they suffer from TDS at a very high rate. Now, take your average farm kid and they question all the bullshit and don't fall victim to it. I guess when you have to pitch it, you know it when you see it.
Of all the things that the BOM (Bad Orange Man) has said that turned out to be 100% true (tariffs, Iran etc.) the most important has assuredly been that the corporate MSM is the "enemy of the people".
I will not forget watching that moment on TV. When he went down I thought the worst. Longest few minutes ever until they stood up with him. I was crying and cheering at the same time. And praying he was not badly wounded. This was a miracle. We all saw it. God saved him and this country in that moment. Nothing will ever convince me otherwise. I thank God every day.
My favorite meme right afterwards was the one showing the horrified faces of clinton, pelosi, gates, etc., etc. ("all the usual suspects") saying, "What do you mean, 'he missed?!'". Lovely.
As a recovered democrat who was most definitely not going to vote for Biden again, I can confirm that the events of this day really affected my view of Trump and helped sway me towards casting my vote for him last November. And although I don’t consider myself religious in the traditional sense, I do believe in divine intervention and agree something miraculous happened that day.

Good review of the day I watched that rally and what occupied my and everyones attention for weeks after. Still waiting on who Thomas Michael Crooks the "lone gunman" shooter really was. By this many months after JFK's assassination, (and RFK's, and MLK's) we knew a lot more about the players and even had a lot more false information than we have on this one.
I was in DC for my nephew's wedding. At the reception, in the RR building where 1/2 of the people were MAGA and another 25% conservative, me and a handful of others were secretly watching the rally (recorded) 30 minutes after it started. My cousin rushed over... "Trump's been shot!" We kept it on the Q so as not to disturb the celebration. But several of us went in and out in 2 & 3's to keep tabs on FOX reporting. My 35 year old daughter whispered "he's good, and this election is over. We win."
I used to think that those clowns in Washington meant little to me and my life. Of course, that's the way it should be.
It turns out to not be the way it is. I have dedicated my life to being as inaccessible to political parties and politicians as possible. Trump has built his wall. He has built it between the Washington goon squad and me. God bless him for it.
