Thank you for giving us an insider view of this amazing sight. It really is chilling to see the contrast between the actual event and the NYT coverage. I'll be voting for a Republican presidential candidate for the first time in my 30 years of voting. Let's GOOOO

how social media just ended legacy media's political relevance

And now they want to play catch up by playing neutral. But it is a lost cause like a formerly glamorous mall now featuring bowling. It's bloated and too ugly to save as a building. There has always been a bent to the newspapers. We just didn't know it. Amd perhaps the MSM should have researched their flirtatious history with fascism and Stalinism in the early 20th century.

In the summer of 2020, my business partner locked me out of our office because I refused to share with him my status regarding a particular injection, my (fellow liberal) friends started calling my husband racist because he's a cop, and the priest at my church preached a sermon comparing George Floyd to Jesus, saying "we killed him, too".

It's a long sentence, but that about sums up what helped me become open to listening to points of view I had previously dismissed.

Thank you for sharing. Makes sense based on my observations of cognitive dissonance when feelings overrule facts. The change to facts seems to happen when something personal happens.

11/07/24: I'm late to the party, and as we all know by now, Trump and his voters have TRIUMPHED. I leave you with this, which shocked/provoked me into tears: https://x.com/KTHopkins/status/1854090142274740657

An amazing rally! Seems Trump has it… but what about the shenanigans going on in the swing states?

Is there a plan to resist the steal?

Nice job, Comrade! Your recounting of this magnificent event confirms that America is alive and well, despite incessant rants to the contrary coming from the Left. There is hope!

Very encouraging! Reminds me of when Trump in 2016 had a rather large rally somewhere I recall on the Wisconsin Minnesota border. I think it was like 30,000 people. That was abnormal. This seems at least equal equally abnormal. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Kamala reminds me of the various actors that WEF hires to do their scam routines. She is the adult version of empty-suit Saint Greta of the Climates. Who is now fizzling fast (both of them).

You can get only so much milage out of false-fronts, before they collapse.

Trump was never a false front. And he certainly isn't collapsing! 🎉

As the final weeks of the presidential race unfold, the hyperbolic language saturating the media and campaign rhetoric (Nazism, etc.) will likely be remembered as classic fear-mongering, designed to stoke anxiety and manipulate public sentiment. Both sides have amplified their narratives, often blurring the line between truth and exaggeration, but the Dems are owning this at the moment. This overblown rhetoric, filled with mis- and disinformation, serves short-term political gain, but in hindsight, will be seen as a distortion of reality rather than an honest debate on policy and leadership. The inflammatory language may resonate now, but history will likely view it as a tactic that undermined meaningful discourse and contributed to widespread distrust in the political process.

The Democrat voting base seems to have severe amnesia and won't remember any of the hyperbolic and inflammatory language. . . I don't think it will hurt the Dems. I think the leaders know this and don't shy away from flip flopping positions or unhinged behavior.

Oh Yuri! From commie to Nazi…lol

Expand full comment

The overlap there is that both Commies and Nazis are totalitarians.

Expand full comment

It’s not the Commies or Nazis, or Fascists, or Democrats, that we have to worry about; it’s the Authoritarians & the Totalitarians, along with the CIA/FBI types, especially if they are billionaire true believers.

Expand full comment

Commies, Nazis, Fascists, the high Democrats, the hierarchy found in the CIA/FBI.....ARE totalitarians. All of them.

Totalitarianism is a specific dysfunctional group dynamic led by one or more individuals with Cluster-B/Dark Personality traits. And a damaging group narrative.

Also totalitarian are: cults, gangs, criminal organizations, secret societies, extremist religions, and some very dysfunctional families.

When you see Mass Formations, destructive mobs (seen in COVID Mania and the Pro-Hamas crowd).....you are seeing a manifestation of totalitarianism.

When totalitarianism is found in political situations, it is called a Pathocracy.

Totalitarianism is a much wider category than most people think. Both political totalitarianism, and non-political.

Main thing for everyone to know is that Trump is NOT the totalitarian in the presidential race. Quite the opposite.
