How To Reimagine Hanlon's Razor

When does stupidity turn into malice?

Comrades: The time has come to update Hanlon’s Razor to reflect the subversion and demoralization of this era.

Yuri’s 2023 reimagining of Hanlon’s Razor: “Always attribute to malice that which has continued too long to be explained by stupidity.”

The more time goes by, the more likely it is that malice is driving poor outcomes. If someone does something foolish once, it is stupid. If they do it repeatedly despite all evidence pointing to its harms, it is at best insanity and at worst evil.

Evil does exist. Sociopaths are 4% of the population, but overrepresented amongst the powerful. They manipulate the 60% of the population that is agreeable and can’t spot their dark triad machinations. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me again and again, I’m an NPC.

That leaves the remaining 36% disagreeable antibodies like us to push back. Evil wins when good men do nothing. We have to be meaner than evil.

The decline of religion has coincided with the rise of evil. Without moral principles and communities, people are less resistant to malice. What do malice and evil look like in the modern Progressive world?

They are found in the universities that indoctrinate hatred:

They are found in the politicians and criminals who have destroyed our cities:

They are found in those who turn the world into their guinea pigs for social isolation and harmful drug experiments:

They are found in drug cartels and corrupt officials who profit from trafficking humans and drugs:

They are found in the media that twists reality to push narratives:

The white pill steels us against the black pill. We must continue to protect those we love by standing for our values. Most people in the world are good. The small minority committing acts of malice and evil must be mocked, punished, and incarcerated from harming civil society. Do not be jaded or naive. All it takes is courage.
