Comrades: I am thrilled to host my friend Isaac Simpson on The Demoralization Zone podcast. He is a “disgraced propagandist” modern day Don Draper who started a new agency called WILL. His Substack The Carousel is hosting some of the most interesting conversations on this platform, including one with yours truly last month. The piece he wrote about Montana went viral, which earned him a few paragraphs in a Vanity Fair article about dissidents. You can also follow him on Twitter @DisgracedProp.
In our conversation, Isaac and I discuss how the sausage is made at longhouse marketing agencies that bombard us with demoralization, break down the ingredients of a successful advertising campaign that went viral, and look towards the future of making advertising beautiful again. I learned more about marketing during this 40-minute session than most MBAs do while paying $100,000+.
Before we dive in, I’d like to express my gratitude to the 200+ comrades who have amplified my open letter to Substack leadership about protecting free speech. In the spirit of marketing, please give the note below a re-stack or like if you haven’t already. Thanks to your efforts, it has made a small dent in the universe. I am open to creative ideas on how to spread it further.
The previous 3 modules of the Yuri Homeschool Curriculum covered immune system, sales, and friendship. As with previous podcasts, the exhibits are available to all below. We don’t directly address the exhibits, but they provide ample context for our podcast.

Podcast with Arthur Kwon Lee, who is making art beautiful again the same way Isaac is making advertising beautiful again. Keep an eye out for the two of them in a future Carousel podcast.
